Area Real Estate Update

 Area home sales down, but prices still remaining stable...

The average home sales price in the South Jersey area is down in 2008 so far, but only 2.2%  according to Trend MLS.  The average sales price fell from $225,000 to $220,000.   Also, the average days on the market rose from 43 days last year to 52 days this year.

At the end of June 2008, there were 5,589 homes for sale in Camden County representing an 11 months supply.  There were 3,171 homes for sale in Gloucester County representing a 12 months supply.  An optimum balanced market is 5 - 5.5 months supply.
